Tribute to my Grandfather

My grandfather was a very good photographer. This was defenetly his style... he shot B&W film and then printed on paper in the darkroom.

Unfortunatly he died a few years ago, when i was young.

I didn't get to know him that much.. but a few weeks ago i found a bunch of his printed photographs. I felt like i was reading his journal when looking at them.. as if i was looking at life trough his eyes... it was amazing.

Somebody once told me that great photographers manage to put a part of their soul into a photograph, and when you see it... you get the feeling that the photographer had when taking it... it's amazing.

I took this photograph on color film and desaturated in photoshop, then adjusted the levels so it would resemble the high contrast he got while printing in the darkroom.

This photo is very important to me.
